Coach Karoline Olsen
I’m Karoline Olsen—a Norwegian marathon runner training for the 2028 Olympics, based in San Diego. I’ve always been overly ambitious, driven by a “work harder” mindset that led me to sign up for my first marathon just for the challenge—and unexpectedly win it with a 3:05. Seven months later, with a coach, I ran a 2:46.
But that same mindset eventually broke me. Over four years, I suffered six consecutive stress fractures while trying to balance Olympic-level training with an MBA and launching a protein muffin company—5,000 miles from my home in Oslo.
After years of pushing too hard, I finally cracked the code: performance isn’t about going harder, it’s about training smarter. I built a method rooted in heart rate precision and time on feet, inspired by the best endurance athletes in Norway. It’s designed to hold you back in the right ways—so you can run faster, stay healthy, and actually enjoy the process.
Today, I coach athletes who want to feel and perform their best—whether they’re stuck in a cycle of burnout, coming back from injury, or chasing a PR. I’ve gone from being injured running 37 miles per week to thriving at 87 miles per week. And I’ve seen the same transformation in my athletes—across the 5K to the marathon.
This isn’t the traditional American “no pain, no gain” approach. It’s intentional. It’s sustainable. And it works.
